Who we are

Sedwis Software Pvt. Ltd.(“Sedwis”, “we”) is a software development company registered in India, with its office at G-334, Second Floor, G Block, Sector 63, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201301, India. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 we are the Data Fiduciary; under the GDPR we are the Data Controller for personal data you give us directly.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to answer you and run the site.

• What you give us: name, email, phone number, company, and whatever you write in an enquiry, quote request or job application.
• How you found us: referring site, UTM campaign parameters, and the page you landed on. This is how we know which marketing is worth continuing.
• Technical data: browser user agent and a truncated IP address. We shorten IP addresses before storing them, so they identify a network rather than a person.
• Analytics: aggregated usage data, only where you have consented to analytics cookies.

We do not collect special category data, and we ask that you don't send sensitive personal or health information through the forms on this site.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To reply to your enquiry — because you asked us to (consent), and because it is a step towards a contract.
• To deliver work you've engaged us for — performance of a contract.
• To keep the site secure and prevent spam — our legitimate interest in a functioning service.
• To send you email you subscribed to — consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to operate: our hosting provider, our email provider for transactional and subscribed email, and our analytics provider where you have consented. Each processes data on our instructions under a written agreement. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

Where your data is held

Our infrastructure is hosted in India. If we work with a client or provider outside India, any transfer is made under appropriate safeguards — Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent mechanism.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries and quote requests: 24 months, then anonymised.
• Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
• Job applications: 12 months, unless you ask us to keep them longer.
• Client project records: for the life of the contract plus the statutory retention period.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or port it elsewhere. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time — which doesn't affect anything done before you withdrew it.

Email contact@sedwis.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, in the EU/UK, to your local supervisory authority.

Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and cannot be turned off. Analytics cookies are only set once you consent, and you can change your mind at any time. See our cookie policy for the full list.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted to the people who need it, and administrative accounts require two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your data we will notify you and the relevant authority within the timeframes the law requires. More detail is on our security page.

Changes

If we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, tell subscribers by email.
